ON THE HOP WITH THE DOTMASTER
Dotmasters "On The Hop" from Martin Hawkes on Vimeo.
We were recently commissioned by the local brewery Lervig to produce a mural for the side of their building. After hanging the show Outside In, we hopped on a plane to Bergen for the (___)Capitalism? event then straight back to Stavanger to start on this. The Dotmaster really pulled one out of the bag with this. Martin Hawkes, film maker with Saft Film, actually, he is Saft film, came along with his assistant Frank and a bunch of ropey looking equipment including a 6m piece of aluminium rail. Turned out to be Martin's home build opensource camera tracking system. 5 days and nights of rain later.. and Bam ! Perhaps the best shot wall we've ever seen.
Congrats to all involved. Looks awesome !

BRICK LANE. STREET ART DOC
Brick Lane in Art: The other side from Shafiur Rahman on Vimeo.
Be interesting to see a final edit..
By Shafiur Rahman
This is a portrait of a street and an area - as seen by artists, particularly street artists, and others who live and work or even just visit here. I wanted to shoot a social documentary which would frame the street, its life, and the complex web in which it operates. I wanted to hear the area's "official" stories. And of course the other side of those stories.
I started filming in the fall of 2009. Seems a long time ago. And so this little trailer is a quiet announcement that we are serious about the final edit now...Watch this space I guess. Filmed in London, Paris, Berlin and Madrid. Yeah.. Brick Lane is a long street.
