A PERFECT VACUUM
A new painting from Jeremy Geddes, my absolute favourite painter of the decade, this is the first of a very loosely connected series. Oil on Board, 50cm by 88cm
'A Perfect Vacuum' is also the title of a book of short stories/essays by Stanislaw Lem, which is one of the books in the painting.
Note : I wrote what i thought was a rather moving article on this piece yesterday which blogger deleted due to tech issues, it linked Geddes, to Lem to my favourite film maker Tarkovsky to Solaris and onto my favourite film Stalker and back to Geddes..lost forever. Not unlike Geddes cosmonauts. Thanks for that google.
