BARRY MCGEE LONDON OPENING

Barry Mcgee's first London show in 6 years opened this evening at Stuart Shave/Modern Art. Looks pretty special and think we'll try and make the trip before the close date which is Aug 13th. Highly recommended !

V1 gallery in Copenhagen continue their reign as Scandinavia's most interesting gallery dedicated to new contemporary/street/and urban related art. Well, it's just art really isn't it. And V1 were very early to recognise this, so respect.

The always controversial and talked about Barry McGee was among the artists who were invited to TRANSFER SP in Brazil. Creating his own specific installation, Barry McGee went about his work only at night with no real pre-determined path. Instead, the artist created a piece of work unlike his most familiar and recent works over the last few years. Here’s a video that captures his night time processes and approach.

This exhibit is the artist's debut show with The Shooting Gallery and will be comprised of a selection of documentary, portrait, reportague, abstract, and experimental photographs. His work is often associated with the photographic record of the Mission School and other San Francisco underground art movements.
