Terrific look at Christies pre Xmas sale of Post War Contemporary Art including the Banksy gifted "Girl With a Balloon" work, subtitled "In the event of Divorce, Cut here".. a wry comment on the fact that Hopper's ex-wife was accused of attempting to steal parts of his collection. Hopper would have been pleased to see it smash estimates of $30-50 000 and eventually sell for $146 500.. The Heavy Weaponry above also surpassing estimates and going for in excess of $70 000.
