STEVE POWERS, TED TALKxPHILLY
Terrific talk from Steve Powers aka Espo on his work with Os Gemeos and the "A Love letter for You" project.
Stephen Powers explains how his local graffiti roots influenced "A Love Letter for You", an ambitious series of 50 murals in West Philadelphia. Powers presents photos and stories from a similar community project spawned in Brazil.
Stephen Powers is a graffiti artist turned studio artist turned graffiti artist. In the 1990's, he left Philadelphia for New York to pursue his artistic ambitions. Stephen returned home in 2009 to paint "A Love Letter for You" in conjunction with the Mural Arts Program and Pew Center for Arts and Heritage. Stephen is a 2007 Fulbright Scholar.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxPhilly, where x = independently organized TED event.
